Africa: Continent's Number of Covid-19 Cases Surpasses 3,5 Million

Cape Town — As of January 29, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 3,516,781 .

Reported deaths in Africa reached  88,985 and 2,990,354  people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases - 1,437,798  - and 43,105  people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 469,139 ), Tunisia ( 204,351 ), Egypt ( 164,282 ), Ethiopia ( 135,594 ), and Nigeria ( 127,024 ).
