Tunis/Tunisia — Resources to be marshalled to boost alternative accommodation-oriented tourism investments were the focus of a working session chaired by Tourism Minister Habib Ammar and attended by Advisor to the Prime Minister Abdessalem Abassi and officials of the ministries of Tourism and Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries.
Emphasis was laid on the need to review the regulatory framework of this activity, so as to ease the administrative procedures and encourage the achievement of such projects which spark the interest of Tunisian and foreign investors, reads a Tourism Ministry press release issued Wednesday.
It was agreed to hold further working sessions shortly to consider proposals for amendments to the legal and regulatory framework.
