Tunis/Tunisia — A guided shell-shaped mine containing a substance that is probably explosive was discovered in Sidi Rezzouk on the heights of Mount Semmama (governorate of Kasserine), said Saturday a statement of the Interior Ministry.
Joint security units of counter-terrorism in Kasserine discovered the landmine, Friday, as part of a sweep operation to track down terrorists holed up in the heights, in order to intercept their movements and thwart their plans, the same source added.
The mine was seized and a procedure will be initiated after coordination with the national unit of research in terrorist crimes, under the Aouina National Guard, the statement said.
