Africa: President Saied Meets Heads of African Diplomatic Missions in Tunis

Tunis/Tunisia — President of the Republic Kais Saied met, on Monday in Carthage, the heads of African diplomatic missions accredited in Tunis.

He emphasised the need "to expand cooperation between African countries within the African Union," a Presidency statement said.

The meeting placed emphasis on the natural resources and human potential of Africa "able to make it a source of pride for all mankind."

The President also stressed the need to develop regional and international business partnerships, "based on mutual respect and the principle of equal footing."

"This will help promote Africa's role in global trade, create wealth and achieve development that meets the aspirations of African peoples for progress and stability," he pointed out.
