Molepolole — Molepolole Magistrate Court last week granted bail to 30 people, who caused malicious damage to property and inciting violence in Lentsweletau.
The accused persons appeared before Magistrate Refilwe Resheng and were granted them bail on the ground that there was not enough evidence brought before court by the prosecution to deny them bail.
Therefore, Magistrate Resheng ruled in favour of the defence team saying she was not convinced by the investigating officer's evidence.
The 30 accused persons appeared before count charged with a count of malicious damage to property.
One of the accused persons, 38-year-old, Phenyo Mokokong was also charged with a second count of inciting violence.
The accused persons were granted bail of P2 500 each with a surety bonded to pay P3 000 in a case where the accused persons could violate their bail conditions.
Some of the bail conditions were that the accused persons should not interfere with investigations, incite violence in Lentsweletau and were also directed to attend all court sessions without fail.
The accused persons would appear for mention on April 23.
