Tunisia: Gafsa-Covid-19 - Three More Deaths During the Last 24 Hours

Tunis/Tunisia — Three patients, respectively from Redeyef, Gafsa-South and Belkhir, died from the Coronavirus during the last 24 hours, bringing to 307 the total number of deaths linked to the pandemic.

According to an updated report published by the Regional Health Directorate in Gafsa, the number of active cases in the region has now risen to 207 cases against 76 cases at the beginning of April. Among these COVID-19 patients, 108 cases are in the delegation of Gafsa-South.

According to the same source, the governorate of Gafsa has experienced since the emergence of the virus, 5,134 cases of contamination including 4,623 patients cured.

Besides, the Regional Health Director in Gafsa, Salem Nasri said Monday in a statement to TAP that 4,184 citizens among health professionals and the elderly have been vaccinated against the coronavirus in the region since the launch of the vaccination campaign in mid-March.
