Gambia Vaccinates 16,630 People Against Covid-19

The Gambia's Ministry of Health says it has vaccinated 16,630 people against COVID-19 with COVISHIELD (AstraZeneca vaccine) as of 9th April 2021.

The 293rd COVID-19 situation report of The Gambia for the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th April 2021 (published on 14th April 2021) by the ministry added that 2 new COVID-related deaths were officially recorded bringing the total deaths to 170 in the country.

During the period, 80 new positive cases were registered bringing the total since March 2020 to 5, 682.

Four (4) COVID-19 patients were discharged from treatment centers while 3 COVID-19 patients are on oxygen therapy.

The country currently has 374 active cases.
