Gambia: Police Intercept UDP Vehicle With Suspected Cannabis

Security patrol taskforce comprising different security units have intercepted a vehicle belonging to the opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) with some suspected cannabis, as the country's security operatives intensified "Operation Zero Crime", The Point has been reliably informed.

The incident was reported to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday in Sukuta involving a UDP political bureau vehicle with the registration number BJL 2870 R. The driver of the vehicle Yusupha Jambang, has been taken into custody as investigation into the matter continues. Mr. Jambang has also been charged with willful damage of property.
