Tunisia: Services - Reported Investment Projects Down 41.2 Percent in March (Apii)

Tunis/Tunisia — Some 781 projects in the services sector worth 71.6 million dinars of investment were reported in March, compared to 121.7 MD in March 2020, i.e. a drop of 41.2%, according to data released on Tuesday by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII).

The number of reported projects rose from 663 to 781 in March 2021, up 17.8%.

The number of jobs created edged up 3.9% to 2,490 against 2,396 in March 2020.

Compared to February 2021, during which 713 projects were reported for an investment of 70.4 MD, expected to create 2,671 jobs, the month of March saw respective increases of 9.5% in the number of projects to be achieved, 1.7% in the number of reported investments and a drop of 6.8% in the number of jobs to be created.
