Seychelles: Statue of Liberated Slaved Children Unveiled At Venn's Town, the Cradle of Seychelles

A new monument has been unveiled at Venn's Town - a heritage site that is referred to as the cradle and birthplace of modern education in Seychelles.

The statue of liberated slave children and their school principal was inaugurated on Thursday at the first settlement of liberated African slave children and where the first school in the island nation was set up.
