Cape Town — As of April 28, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 4,523,057 while over 10,600,820 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 120,427 and 4,041,501 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases - 1,577,200 - and 54,237 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 509,465), Tunisia ( 303,584 ), Ethiopia ( 254,044 ), Egypt ( 224,517 ), Libya ( 176,254 ) and Nigeria ( 164,912 ).
