The Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has felicitated with Nigerian journalists as they celebrate this year's World Press Freedom Day on Monday, May 3, 2021, assuring that the current National Assembly will never pass any law that will suppress press freedom in the country.
Lawan noted that May 3 was set aside every year to remind governments around the world of their obligation to facilitate and respect press freedom, and also to remind journalists the need to respect the ethics of their profession.
