Angola: Covid-19 - Angola Records 227 Recoveries, 140 New Cases

Luanda — The health authorities have reported, in the last 24 hours, the recovery of 227 patients, 140 new cases and one death.

According to the minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, 220 recovered patients reside in Luanda and 7 in Cuanza Sul.

Among the new cases, she said, 134 were diagnosed in Luanda, 5 in Huambo and 1 in Zaire.

Amongst the new cases, whose ages range from 2 to 88 years old, are 77 men and 63 women.

The death involves an Angolan citizen resident in Luanda.

The general picture shows 27,133 positive cases, with 603 deaths, 24,190 recovered and 2,390 active.

The laboratories processed 2,627 samples in the last 24 hours.
