Tunisia: Saied Holds Phone Call With His German Counterpart

Tunis/Tunisia — President of the Republic Kais Saied and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed at a phone call Tuesday ways to boost Tunisian-German relations and Tunisia's efforts to garner support from international financial institutions.

Both presidents spoke of the COVID-19 impact on the world, expressing willingness to consolidate bilateral relations in the economic and scientific fields, reads a statement of the Presidency of the Republic.

On the situation in Libya, Saied reiterated that «legitimacy in that country could be only Libyan without any foreign intervention,»

During the telephone conversation, an emphasis was put on the need to increase visits as soon as the health situation stabilises, the same source added.
