Tunisia: Mechichi Visits Elderly Centre in Menzel Bourguiba

Tunis/Tunisia — Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi visited, on Wednesday, the Centre for the Elderly of Menzel Bourguiba (Bizerte), where he took note of the conditions of accommodation and stay of the 78 residents of the Centre.

Mechichi, who was accompanied by Minister of Women, Family and the Elderly Imen Zahouani Houimel, broke the fast with the residents, said a statement of the Prime Ministry.

He emphasised the need to give special attention to the elderly hosted in the country's various centres, particularly in light of the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.

The residents of the Menzel Bourguiba Centre have already received the first dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus, the statement said.
