Tunisia: Coronavirus - 39 Additional Deaths and 1,024 More Infections in 24 Hours

Tunis/Tunisia — 39 additional deaths and 1,024 more infections by the coronavirus out of 5,803 tests carried out were recorded on May 9, bringing the total number of deaths to 11 thousand 468 victims and that of positive tested cases to 321 thousand 837 people, according to the Ministry of Health.

In its daily bulletin on the epidemic situation in the country, the ministry reported that the total number of recoveries reached 279 thousand 634 people after the recovery of 2,137 patients.

The number of people hospitalised in public and private sector health institutions as of May 9 amounted to 2,498 patients, including 489 in intensive care and 142 placed on artificial respirators, according to the same source.
