Tunisia: Covid-19 - Monastir Reports 23 Deaths and 347 More Infections

Tunis/Tunisia — 23 more deaths of coronavirus were recorded in the governorate of Monastir over the last week, taking the death toll to 497 since the outbreak of the pandemic in the region.

Similarly, 347 more COVID-19 cases were reported during the same period, taking the count to 18,576 since the spread of the virus, reads a report published by the Local Health Directorate of Monastir Tuesday.

On the other hand, 27 more patients have recovered in the region where the number of recoveries has reached 16,715 while 1,364 are still carrying the virus.

82 patients are currently staying in local hospitals and clinics, the same source said.

Since the vaccination campaign, 8,541 citizens have been administered the first shot of vaccine while 5,731 of them received their second one.
