Tunisia: Sfax-Covid-19 - Eight Deaths, 119 Patients Tested Positive

Tunis/Tunisia — 8 people died from the Coronavirus during the last 24 hours, bringing to 986 the total number of deceased linked to the pandemic in the governorate of Sfax, a new report published on Tuesday by the regional health directorate in Sfax reads.

Besides, 119 people infected by the virus have been identified during the same period, following the publication of the results of 386 laboratory tests, which brings the total number of infections in the region since the outbreak of the epidemic to 33,362 cases.

Moreover, 299 patients have recovered from the infection in the governorate of Sfax where the number of cases of recovery has increased to 30,847 cases since the appearance of the virus.

According to the same source, 28 infected patients are currently admitted in intensive care, 213 placed in the COVID-19 department of Hédi Chaker Hospital in Sfax and 55 others hospitaliSed in private clinics in the region.
