Namibia: Nicko Zamaleck Eyes Tala Namibia Online Film Festival Award

RISING musician, radio personality and video director Nicko Zamaleck says he is delighted to be in the running for a Tala Namibia Online Film Festival award for his music video 'My Namibia' in the best music video category and hopes to win.

The Namibian Film Commission launched the Tala Namibia Online Film Festival recently to showcase Namibia's diverse creative content through online streaming platforms.

Zamaleck is competing with artists such as Lize Ehlers, Magogoz and Danella Smith.

"I am not counting my chickens before they hatch, but if I win this, I promise myself and everyone who has helped me win that I will use the award wisely, in pursuit of my music career," says Nicko.

Eric Mule Productions shot the video of 'My Namibia' at Avis Dam to showcase Namibia's diversity.

"I wanted the video to complement the message of the song because is very close to my heart," says Zamaleck.

The song preaches unity, peace and love among Namibians.

Zamaleck has released five singles and two music videos, 'My Namibia' and 'Power'.
