Tunisia: Monthly MMR Stable At 6.25 Percent in May

Tunis/Tunisia — The average monthly Money Market Rate (MMR) for May 2021 remained stable at 6.25%, according to statistics published by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

However, this rate saw an upward trend in recent months, going from 6.15% in January 2021, to 6.23% in February and March and climbing to 6.25% in April and May.

The key interest rate of the BCT is 6.25%, while the savings rate is about 5%, as of May 31, 2021.
