Morocco: House of Representatives - Thematic Working Group On Health System Adopts Report On Subject

Rabat — The speaker of the House of Representatives Habib El Malki chaired, Tuesday in Rabat, a meeting of the thematic working group on the health system, devoted to the adoption of the report elaborated by the group on the subject.

At the end of the work of the thematic working group on the health system with the adoption of the report, it was agreed to hold a plenary session next week for the presentation and the discussion of the said report by the deputies, said a statement from the House of Representatives.

On this occasion, El Malki said that the creation of the thematic working group on the health system is pursuant to the High Royal Instructions, which have always called for the need to accelerate the reform of the health system, to advance and rehabilitate the health sector, to generalize social protection and to address the various economic and social repercussions resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We, as Moroccans, must be proud of the wise vision and the strategic and proactive approach of HM King Mohammed VI, who has enabled our country to face the pandemic through numerous initiatives, gestures and qualitative measures undertaken at multiple levels to cope with the repercussions of the epidemic, and this is what made Morocco a model to follow compared to many countries of the world," he said.

El Malki highlighted the importance of the report by the thematic working group, "in the light of this particular situation that our country and the whole world are going through after the outbreak and the spread of the epidemic of Covid-19", welcoming the quality of the work carried out and lauding the cooperation of all sectors, institutions, experts and researchers, who shared with the Legislative Institution their vision and their perception of the health system, it said.
