Plateau United coach, Abdu Maikaba has been so impressed by matchday performances of his midfielder, Oche Ochewechi that he has spoken of him to national team handlers for a possible invitation.

Maikaba let this out after two second half goals, the first from the penalty spot and the other executed from the long throw gave Plateau United a deserved victory over visiting Katsina United in Wednesday's MatchDay 26 fixture at the new Jos stadium.

Speaking after the match, the coach said "More importantly is the contribution of Ochowechi who has been consistent as pivot in the team, I have mentioned him to the national team handlers as he deserves a place in the Eagles."

Abdu Maikaba could not hide his satisfaction with the team performance which he described as encouraging.

However, Katsina coach Mohammed Audu was dissatisfied with the team's performance which he attributed to lack of concentration.

"The players lost concentration especially in the second half which allowed Plateau to secure victory today. However, we will continue to improve on our matches to avoid the drop."

The coach assured that Katsina would do everything to escape relegation.
