Tunisia: 19 Suicide and Attempted Suicide Cases in May 2021 - FTDES

Tunis/Tunisia — 19 suicide and attempted suicide cases were recorded last May, including 14 men and 5 women, the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) said Tuesday.

In its May 2021 report, the FTDES reported 7 suicides in the 16 to 25 age group.

Out of 14 acts, 10 were committed by hanging, one act of suicide or attempted suicide by immolation, another by the use of weapons, another by medicine intake and one by jumping/rushing, according to the same source.
