Tunisia: Request for Slim Chiboub's Release Rejected - Spokesman of the Court of Appeal

Tunis/Tunisia — Spokesman of the Tunis Court of Appeal, Habib Torkhani, said on Wednesday evening that the indictment chamber, specialised in financial corruption cases at this court, decided to refer the businessman Slim Chiboub to justice for financial corruption.

In a statement to TAP, Habib Torkhani also noted that it was decided to refer Slim Chiboub to the criminal chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance for financial corruption in the "Marina de Gammarth" case.

The spokesman of the Tunis Court of Appeal said that the indictment chamber also decided to reject the request for release of Slim Chiboub, who has been detained for months in this case.
