Botswana: Three Die in Shootout

Gaborone — Three suspected armed robbers were fatally shot in exchange of fire with members of Botswana Police Service in Gaborone's Block 6 early this morning.

A press release from the police says the deceased trio, aged about 30 and 40, was intercepted by the police whilst committing a robbery at one of the homesteads in Block 6.

A firearm suspected to have been used by the suspects, all suspected to be Zimbabweans citizen males, was found at the scene.

Members of the public are requested to assist with any information that could lead to the arrest of two other suspects who fled the scene during the incident. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
