Angola: Petro De Luanda Climb to Championship Lead

Luanda — Petro de Luanda drew goalless with Cuando Cubango FC in the 28th round of the national first division football championship and climbed to the top of the standings with 64 points.

Petro and Sagrada play in the last round of the championship, but before they face Desportivo da Huíla and Progresso do Sambizanga in the 29th, respectively.

Sagrada takes the edge for having won the first encounter between the two title contenders.

The tussle for the title is open, at a time when Petro seeks to break the fasting of twelve years (last won in 2009) and the "Lundas" the thirst of 16 years, after winning in 2005.

1º de Agosto remain in the third position with 58 points.
