Angola Handball Team Lose to Montenegro

Luanda — Angola senior women's handball team were defeated 22-33 on Sunday by Montenegro in the first round of group A of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, in Japan.

At halftime, the Angola's disadvantage was minimal (12-13)

After a balanced first half, the national team proved unable to compete until the end, having committed many errors in attack and especially in defense, and neither the successive (time-out) requested by coach Filipe Cruz, to guide the group, served to correct the situation.

The African champions face Norway on Tuesday (European champions), further face Netherlands (29) (world champions), Japan (31) and South Korea on August 2 to close the group stage.

Russia hold the Olympic gold medal.
