Angola: Fernando Sapalo Congratulates 1º De Agosto in First Game Win

Luanda — The assistant coach of Interclube, Fernando Sapalo, Sunday congratulated 1º de Agosto for winning the first of the five-game of the national senior women's basketball championship final.

Speaking in a post match press conference, coach Sapalo said the opponents won by their own merit, since the Interclube players could not take advantage of the opportunities they had and, when this happens, the result is negative.

"Nothing is lost yet, they need to correct the mistakes and not slip up in the other games to reach the goal, which is to win the championship," coach Sapalo said.

1º de Agosto assistant coach, Angela Cardoso highlighted the determination and confidences of the players, factors, she said, were crucial for the tight victory by two points of difference against the defending champions.

The two teams play on Monday at Luanda's Cidadela pavilion for the second match of the final.
