Angola: Covid-19 - Angola Reports 7 Deaths, 212 Recoveries

Luanda — Seven deaths, 212 recoveries and 99 infections were reported in the last 24 hours.

The fatalities were recorded in the provinces of Cunene with 3, Lunda Norte (2), Bié and Huíla with 1 each, aged between 15 and 80 years old.

Updating the daily covid-19 statistics, the secretary of state for public health, Franco Mufinda, said that the new cases are related to residents of the nine provinces.

He added that among the recovered patients, 93 are residents in Luanda, 33 in Cunene, 25 in Huíla, 16 in Huambo,16 in Zaire, 15 in Cuanza Sul, 11 in Benguela, 2 in Lunda Sul and 1 in Uíge.

As for fresh cases, he said that 50 were detected in Cunene, 10 in Moxico, 10 in Luanda, 6 in Huambo, 6 in Cunene, 5 in Huila, 4 in Benguela, 3 in Zaire, 2 in Bié, 2 in Lunda Norte and 1 in Lunda Sul.

The new cases include 45 men and 54 women, with ages that vary between one month and 87 years old.
