Tunisia: Covid-19 - Gabes Sees Surge in Death Toll and Infection Tally

Tunis/Tunisia — 8 more coronavirus-deaths were reported in the governorate of Gabes over the past 48 hours, bringing the toll to 513.

154 more infections had also been recorded from 440 tests, Preventive Health Director in Gabes Yahya Hamdi said.

The caseload in the region has hit 17,501 infections, including 16,465 recoveries since the outbreak of the pandemic.

76 patients are staying in local hospitals, 6 of whom in ICUs at the Gabes University Hospital, the same source specified.
