Tunisia: Jerandi Holds Talks With Foreign Leaders to Discuss Latest Developments in Tunisia

Tunis/Tunisia — Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi was entrusted by President Kais Saied to hold talks with European Leaders, focused notably on the latest developments in Tunisia.

Jerandi had talks with French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, German State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, a Foreign Ministry press release reads Wednesday.

On this occasion, Jerandi informed these foreign leaders about the recent developments in Tunisia following Saied's Sunday decisions.

For their part, the European officials reiterated their countries' readiness to continue supporting Tunisia in its democratic process towards establishing the rule of law, democracy and human rights, the press release reads.
