Tunisia: WB Affirms Its Unwavering Commitment to Support Tunisia - UPD 1

Tunis/Tunisia — The World Bank (WB) affirms, in a statement issued Wednesday, its unwavering commitment to support Tunisia and help meet the legitimate aspirations of its people to express their expectations and ambition to an economic recovery that brings growth and inclusive prosperity.

The World Bank says it is "closely following events in Tunisia. The country and the Tunisian people have gone through a decade of serious and largely ignored economic challenges in a context of socio-political difficulties. This situation has been compounded by the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lives and livelihoods of citizens."
