Angola: First Ladies of Angola and Turkey Address Cooperation

Luanda — The First Ladies of Angola, Ana Dias Lourenço, and of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, held this Wednesday, in Ankara, a courtesy meeting that served to discuss mechanisms for strengthening cooperation.

On Twitter, First Lady Emine Erdogan said she was very happy to welcome Ana Dias Lourenço, wife of Angolan President João Lourenço, who is on an official visit to Turkey.

"I believe that this visit will strengthen relations between the two countries", said Emine Erdogan when sharing her photograph with Ana Dias Lourenço.

President João Lourenço is carrying out a state visit to Turkey, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Angola and Turkey bilateral relations, which date back to 1980, were strengthened last Tuesday (27), with the signing of ten cooperation agreements, in the areas of trade, economy, mineral resources and transport, among others.
