Africa: Over 6.6 Million Cases of Covid-19 Confirmed Across Continent

As of July 30 confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 6,630,238 while over 41,897,630 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 168,419 and  5,804,766 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,422,151 and 71,431 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (606,871), Tunisia (582,638), Egypt (284,170), Ethiopia (279,629), Libya (246,200) and Kenya (201,009).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
