Tunisia: Kaïs Saïed Meets With Newly Appointed Acting Ministers of Economy and Finance and Communication Technologies

Tunis/Tunisia — The swearing-in ceremony of the acting Minister of Economy, Finance and Investment Support Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia and acting Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Ben Neji, was held Monday at the Palace of Carthage.

During his meeting with Ms. Boughdiri Nemsia, President Kaïs Saïed stressed the imperative of upholding fiscal justice, while criticising the performance of the former minister Ali Kooli.

He also placed emphasis, during his meeting with Mr. Ben Neji, on "the neutrality of the public service" and "the importance of the Ministry of Communication Technologies", speaking of " abuses occurred in recent years, including the listening devices.

The President of the Republic, on Monday, issued decrees dismissing Minister of Economy, Finance and Investment Support Ali Kooli, and appointing Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia as acting minister in the same department.

He also dismissed by decree Minister of Communication Technologies and Digital Economy and acting Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Fadhel Kraiem, and appointed Nizar Ben Neji as acting Minister of Communication Technologies.
