Africa: Over 63 Million Covid-19 Vaccinations Administered Across Africa

As of August 29, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 7,723,439 while over 63,371,434 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 194,058 and  6,836,781 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,747,191 and 81,461 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (849,532), Tunisia (658,322), Libya (303,790), Ethiopia (305,077), Egypt (287,644) and Kenya (234,589).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University  (world map)  using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
