Angola: President Travels to Cuanza Norte Province

Luanda — President João Lourenço travels this Tuesday to the northern Cuanza Norte Province for a two-day working visit.

The President's Office for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs stressed in a press release that, on the first day, the Angolan Head of State will meet with the local government officials.

The meeting will assess, among other aspects, the general state of life in the province in the social, economic and political domains.

In the afternoon, President João Lourenço is to grant separate audiences to representatives of religious institutions, traditional authorities, businesspeople and youth leaders.

President Lourenço´s agenda includes a visit to a new housing construction project, on the outskirts of Ndalatando city.

The said project has to do with the distribution and urbanisation of basic infrastructure-filled landplots that will allow hundreds of families to build their own houses on them under governmental supervision.

João Lourenço is due back in Luanda on Wednesday afternoon.
