Africa: Continent Nears 8.2 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19

As of September 23, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,196,254 while over 83,245,773 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 207,220 and 7,498,479 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,889,298 and  86,500 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (923,924), Tunisia (702,503), Ethiopia (336,762), Libya ( 334,049 ), Egypt (298,988) and Kenya (247,358).
