Angola: Covid-19 - Angola Reports 326 New Infections, 14 Deaths

Luanda — At least three hundred and twenty-six new cases, fourteen deaths and the recovery of 79 patients is the balance of the last 24 hours announced, this Sunday, by the Angolan health authorities.

Luanda province, according to the daily bulletin, has diagnosed 179 new cases, Huíla 100, Zaire 25, Benguela 9, Namibe 9, Huambo 2, Luanda Sul 1 and Moxico 1.

The list, which included patients whose ages ranged from 5 months to 102 years, counted 186 male and 140 female patients.

Seven deaths were registered in Luanda, three in Benguela, two in Huambo and two in Malanje.

As for the people recovered, 66 reside in Luanda, 8 in Namibe, in Huíla with 3, in Huambo and in Moxico with 1 case, equally.

The laboratories processed, in the last 24 hours, 5,501 samples.

In the treatment centres, 349 patients are hospitalised, 126 citizens are in institutional quarantine and 3,132 contacts of positive cases are under epidemiological surveillance.

Angola has 55,121 positive cases, of which 1,501 have died, 47,273 patients have recovered and 6,347 are active. Of those active, 43 are critical, 49 severe, 171 moderate, 86 mild and 5,998 asymptomatic.
