Angola: Governor Reiterates Importance of Health Service Humanization

Moçâmedes — The governor of south-west Namibe province, Archer Mangueira, Saturday in Moçâmedes reiterated the importance of reinforcing the humanisation of health services, having as a primary attention the patient.

Speaking during the Ecumenical Service of thanksgiving, which marked the National Day of Health Workers, he said that humanisation should go through affection, love, solidarity and professional rigour.

The governor also pointed out the continuous investment in staff training, in order to improve health services.

In his turn, the director of the Provincial Health Office in Namibe, Corintios Miguel, said that the Covid-19 pandemic contributes negatively to the stability of the health system and jeopardises the service provision in quality and quantity.
