Cape Town — As of October 4, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,339,974 while over 92,936,756 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 212,056 and 7,632,069 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,906,422 and 87,780 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 935,332 ), Tunisia ( 708,203 ), Ethiopia ( 348,669 ), Libya ( 341,839 ), Egypt ( 306,798 ) and Kenya ( 250,114 ).
