Tunisia: Health Ministry to Hold Concurrently Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign and Breast Cancer Screening October 16-17

Tunis/Tunisia — The Health Ministry will hold concurrently a coronavirus vaccination campaign and breast cancer screening, in the interior regions of the country's north.

Speaking to TAP, Health Minister's adviser Ines Gmati said the campaign will be held in cooperation with the National Office for the Family and the Population (ONFP), the National Tunisian Railways Company (SNCFT) as well as a number of civil society organisations.

Gmati stated that poor women diagnosed with breast cancer will be provided care in partnership with relevant organisations. Private clinics will offer mammography free of charge for twenty women, she added.

Another similar mixed campaign is scheduled for next October 30 and 31 for the benefit of interior regions in the country's southern governorates including Sfax, Gabès and Gafsa.
