Tunisia: Gabes - Day to Promote Local Pomegranates

Tunis/Tunisia — A day to promote day local pomegranates was organised Thursday by the programme of access to markets for agri-food and local products (PAMPAT), implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

The drive conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Interprofessional Fruit Group, the Regional Union of Agriculture and Fisheries and the project "Irada", aims to familiarize local producers with the conditions to be met to obtain the label "AOC", UNIDO expert Khemaies Nasfi told TAP.

Among the participants in this event, the groups of agricultural services in the regions of Zarat, Kettana, Gabes, Chennini, where promotional points have been set up to promote local production.
