Africa: Over 8.4 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19 Across Continent

As of October 24, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  8,462,381 while over 106,010,059 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  216,777  and  7,807,655  people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  2,919,332   and  88,914  people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  944,076 ), Tunisia (  711,521 ), Ethiopia (  362,088 ), Libya (  352,881 ), Egypt (  323,733 ) and Kenya ( 252,628 ).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
