Africa: Over 113 Million Vaccinations Administered Across the Continent

Cape Town — As of October 26, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,471,859 while over 113,381,926 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  217,102 and  7,825,679 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  2,919,778 and  88,934 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 944,378 ), Tunisia ( 711,905 ), Ethiopia ( 362,672 ), Libya ( 354,215 ), Egypt ( 325,508 ) and Kenya ( 252,688 ).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
