Africa: Over 144 Million Covid-19 Vaccinations Administered Across Continent

As of October 29, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,487,438 while over 114,086,034 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 217,788 and 7,841,914 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,921,114 and 89,104 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (945,504), Tunisia (712,230), Ethiopia (364,098), Libya (356,086), Egypt (328,209) and Kenya (253,018).

The numbers are compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (world map) using statistics from the World Health Organization and other international institutions as well as national and regional public health departments.
