Africa: Continent Nears 8.5 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19

As of November 1, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,498,303 while over 117,311,369 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  218,224 and  7,853,327 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  2,922,116 and  89,177 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  946,145 ), Tunisia (  712,747 ), Ethiopia (  365,167 ), Libya (  357,964 ), Egypt (  331,017 ) and Kenya (  253,310 ).
