Tunisia: Tunis - Italian Cuisine Week From November 22 to 26

Tunis/Tunisia — The sixth edition of the Italian cuisine week in Tunis started on Monday at the Kasba Square and will continue until November 26 in the framework of a partnership between the municipality of Tunis and the Italian Embassy to Tunisia.

On this occasion, Mayor of Tunis Souad Abderrahim said that the holding of this event is part of the consecration of the interbreeding of the two Tunisian and Italian civilisations as well as the mutual influences of the two peoples in terms of culinary habits.

For his part, Italian ambassador in Tunis Lorenzo Fanara said that this week aims mainly to mark the resumption of cultural activities including the tasting events long paralysed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The week of Italian cuisine in Tunis has planned a travelling tasting programme which will be held at the Parc du Passage ( November 23), at the Faculty of Letters and Humanities 9 Avril (November 24) and at the Place Pasteur (November 25) while the closing ceremony is scheduled for November 26 at the Parc du Belvédère.
