Tunisia-China - Military Cooperation Examined

Tunis/Tunisia — The Tunisian-Chinese cooperation and means to develop it, especially in the military field, were at the centre of the meeting which brought together, on Monday, at the Department's headquarters, Minister of National Defence Imed Memmich, with ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tunisia, Zhang Jianguo.

Quoted in a statement, the minister hailed "the support given by China to Tunisia during the health crisis caused by the new coronavirus", praising the efforts undertaken by the two countries particularly in the fields of military health and training.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador reaffirmed his country's "readiness to continue to provide all support to Tunisia, especially in the areas of training and military health.
