Africa: Nearly 150 Million Covid-19 Vaccinations Administered Across Continent as Omicron Threat Looms

As of December 2, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,666,255 while over 149,172,177 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached 223,245 and 8,069,825 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases 2,976,613 and 89,871 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (950,088), Tunisia (717,710), Libya (373,210), Ethiopia (371,672), Egypt (359,516) and Kenya (255,164).
